- MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Hypercalcemia(high ca level in blood) |
Clinical Signs:
– Excessive thirst and excessive urination
– Stomach pain and digestive problems
– Bone pain and muscle weakness
– Confusion, lethargy and fatigue
– Anxiety and depression
– Abnormal P absorption and irregular heart rhythm.
Diagnosis :
Urine, faecal and blood test .
Treatment:
-Cinacalcet(senispar)
– Biphosphates, intravenous osteoporosis drugs
– Calcitonin
– Calcimimetics
– Denosunam
– Predinosone
– IV fluids and diuretics.
Differential Diagnosis:
– Hyperkalemia
– Hypernatremia
– Hyperparathyroidism
– Hyperphosphatemia
– Hypocalcaemia.
