Way to manage natural resources

• Soil and land management – Better farming, management of forest, and construction practices

will reduces erosion and protect the soil and resources. Minimum erosion from steep and sloppy

land, management of grazing land, best agricultural practices in terraces, tree plantation all

results good for NRM.

• Water resources management – Glacier is the major source of water for rivers, better water

resources management, sanitation, pollution control around the water resources, helps in water

borne diseases control in downstream areas. Forestation, vegetation coverage in mountain areas

helps in water resource conservation.

• Forest and wildlife conservation – The forest of mountain region is dominant with trees like

pines, thuja, dhupi with the wild habitat Panda, snow Leopard, beers etc. thus steep and sloppy

lands which are prone with erosion should be covered with vegetation and forest trees.

• Mines and rock – minerals and various rocks are found in mountain regions and protect with

wise use of these non-renewable resources helps for future generation welbings in sustainably
