Trade of medicinal plants from Nepal
- 7000 to 27000 tons are annual traded from Nepal (Olsen, 2005)

- survey of producers, traders and processors operating in the border of the country to the mid-western town of Nepalgunj revealed that 100 entrepreneurs handled 42 thousand tons of over 100 different NTFP/MAPS items equivalent to USD 26 million (Subedi, 1997)
