Scope of dairy science in Nepal

  1. It helps in educational development of the country and the function of the education is instrumental in bringing about more commercial production and greatly improves the  quality of products.
  2. Milk and milk products meet the nutritional requirement of the body and maintain the good and sound health.
  3. It helps to produce capable manpower through training which helps to develop the manpower resources in the country.
  4. Milk and milk products act as secondary occupation by Nepalese farmers. It also helps to raise the economic condition of the farmer.
  5. The livestock which is assume as a fountain head of milk is excellent source of human diet and droppings from the livestock e.g. cattle dung is an essential source of fuel and manure.
  6. For a country as a whole a part of total agricultural income is from the milk and its products so, it also rank as the largest single income source for the country development.
  7. It helps in the research work which leads to the invention of some new products and modern techniques in industrial field.
  8. Milk acts as a row material for different dairy industry e.g. cheese factory and it also full fill the requirement of different industries e.g. Dairy by product use in wine factory.
  9. Increasing marketing demand can full fill by the development of dairy industry which helps in the development of marketing organization e.g. Demand pf milk in different sectors.
