Fate of acute inflammation:

• Complete resolution with restoration of site of acute inflammation to normal.

• Healing by scarring: It occurs when inflammation is in tissue that donot regenerate or when there is abundant fibrin exudation.

• Abscess formation: If pyogenic organism are involved in inflammation.

• Progress to chronic inflammation.
