  2. Arachidonic acid ( Δ5,8, 11, 14)
  • Potent proaggregating agent
  • Inhibits coagulation and thrombosis
  • Serves as precursors of group of biochemical active compounds such as prostaglandins, prostacyclin, thromboxane and leucotriens.

 

3. Linolenic acid ( Δ9,12,15)

  • Decreases the risk of heart disease.
  • Decreases platelet aggregation.
