  • Refers to Chain reaction providing a continuous supply of free radical that initiates further peroxidation.
  • Whole process is given below:

 

  1. Initiation:

X’ + RH —> R’ + XH

 

  1. Propagation:

R’ + O2 —> ROO’

ROO’ + RH –> ROOH + R’

 

  1. Termination:

ROO’ + ROO’ —> ROOR + O2
