- Refers to a farming technique,within there is low level of inputs used, in larger land area
- Lower amount of external inputs and capital , Locally devised tools and machinery.
- Large and inexpensive
- Eg : Subsistence farms
c) BIOINTENSIVE FARMING :
- Refers to a farming system that focus on maximizing production from limited area,maintaining the biodiversity and sustainability of system
- Bot the external inputs and internal resources are used efficiently
- Small land holding
- Eg : Organic farming.
