Working Principle and components of Combined Harvester

Main functions of a combine are:

I. Cutting the standing crops

ii. Feeding the cut crops to threshing units

iii. Threshing the crops

iv. Cleaning the grains from straw

v. Collecting the grains in a container

The whole machine is composed of the following components;

I. Header: – used to cut and gather the grain and deliver it to the threshing cylinder

ii. Reel: – straw is pushed back on the platform by the reel

iii. Cutter bar: – cuts the standing crop
