About Course

Economic Entomology explores the role of insects in agriculture, focusing on both beneficial and harmful species. The course covers insect identification, life cycles, pest management strategies, and the economic impact of insects on crops and livestock. Students will learn integrated pest management (IPM) techniques and explore the use of biological control, chemical control, and cultural practices to minimize economic losses.
