Implication and recommendation for non-verbal communication

  1. Become a better non-verbal observer: By understanding nonverbal sign, people are better able to one another’s actions.
  1. Make improved use of nonverbal dimension of communication: managers attempting to motivate their subordinate should plan more than just the verbal content of their efforts. They should consider using dimension such as postures, territory, and personal space to reduce or increase their subordinates’ anxiety about status, to create informality or formality or to reinforce praise or criticism
  1. Do not oversimplify the nonverbal cues: it is important to understand the nonverbal cues in relation to context. The same cues do not always mean the same thing. A man folds his arms across his chest to signals belligerence, but he/she may also do so because she/he feels nervous or cold.
