Factors affecting audience in Individual Communication System

  1. Environment: Surrounding of an individual
  2. The social setting: Whether the people are literate or illiterate; rich or poor in group.
  3. Educational background: Educated man is more efficient in communication.
  4. Reference group: The effect of doing something in one field may also effect in other field. Eg. Insecticide application may affect non-target objects like birds, snacks and other wild animals.
  5. Locally group: Example; Thakali tribes treat differently in a particular subject in comparison to Tharus.
  6. Serial relationship: Serial relationship in organization involve people who act as relayor, passing information from one or more originating sources to third party
  7. Peer relationship: peer inform one another about job requirement or task, and the advice they exchange is often less threatening than super ordinate or boss’s evaluation.
  8. Social group: Socio- group is formed due to socio-economic category as rich and poor. The way of communication will be different for different social groups.
  9. Social functionaries: Message may be general and technical. Eg. 0.1 c.c./litre of 50 EC. Metasystox 10 times for rice bug is difficult to understand by farmers. It is the technical message.
  10. Meta-communication: The parties to an interpersonal relationship often assume that their relationship between them is not something that requires examination
  11. Interpersonal reflex: interpersonal behavior is not only pushed by internal needs. People also pull behavior from each other.
