Conjugated protein

• Made of organic and inorganic compound.
• Consists of the following:

1. Lipoprotein: Lipovitellin of egg yolk.
2. Nucleoprotein: DNA and RNA( Nucleic acid)
3. Glycoprotein: Mucin of saliva.
4. Chromoprotein: Hemoglobin, Myoglobin and cytochrome.
5. Phosphoprotein: casein of milk.

Note:

• Globular/ Corpuscular protein: Egg albumin, Casein of milk.
• Fibrous protein: Skin, Silk, Wool.
• Simple protein is made of α-amino acids.
