Flagella arrangement

  1. Monotrichous: One flagellum at one end. Xanhomonas.
  2. Lophotrichous: Two flagella at each end. Pseudomonas
  3. Amphitrichous: One flagella at each end.
  4. Petritrichous: Large no. of flagella surrounding the cell. Eg: Erwinia, Agrobacterium (Cause crown gall of apple) , Bacillus, etc.
  5. Atrichous: No Flagellum.
