Climate

In Nepal it can be cultivated from the high hills to the Terai.

• In the high hills, it is a summer season crop and in the Terai and mid hills it is a winter season crop.
• However it can be grown in all the year round in higher hills.

• It grows well under loam soil with high organic matter content.
• However, it is grown in almost all type of soil

• It is only one popular variety in Nepal.
• The plants are erect, non-branching, leaves green to dark green, serrated, flower pinkish white.
